Web 2.0, but misogyny still available in all versions

I’ve been at the Web 2.0 Expo the past couple of days and on Monday, during the first LaunchPad session, the CEO of Spock.com gave a short demo of their new service that focuses around people search. Now, aside from the fact that people search raises the privacy flag in a lot of people’s minds and is kind of creepy in general, the fact that he started doing searches on Victoria’s Secret models only made things worse. He was only up there for five minutes, but I just kept shaking my head and saying, “This is so creepy. This is just inappropriate.”

And it looks like I wasn’t the only one to think it. Read: Spock.com is full of misogynists and Spock’s frat-greek humor.
